Round about town this week

This week I tried to take more time to stop and smell the roses. Or the marigolds, or petunias, or whatever is in these fabulous planters in Martin Place!

The week started out with Super Bowl Monday. It was weird to be at work while the Super Bowl was on - it was way too early for beer and fun snacks. So I had boring meetings and work instead. But the game was on in the pool room so I stopped in a couple times to watch.

There weren't too many people around by the end of the game. I guess cause the game was a bit too sad. Poor Peyton!

On Tuesday there was a fun fitness exhibit at Martin Place. And a place to sit down and eat lunch in the "grass."

On Thursday, Esther and I walked down to Darling Harbour at lunchtime. The city has lots of things going on for the "Month of Love" so we went to check them out!

They're also doing work on the exhibiton center and as part of the theme of the month, the city is encouraging people to write messages of love on the wall. People have really responded and the wall looks awesome!

We walked back through the gardens on the way back to the office.

That night after work, T came by the office and we walked up to check out a gourmet grocery shop pop-up in Martin Place. It's a pop-up shop from a store called Salt Meats Cheese - how cute is that!?

Also, if you've ever needed a lifetime supply of Nutella, you can buy it here!

And on the homefront, Toby has been displeased with the quality of the cartoons that he can pick up over the air. So now we have this on Saturday mornings:

Do you think this is a subtle move to try and persuade me to let us pay for cable? =)
