Since we have guests coming for Christmas (hooray, hooray!), Toby and I decided to do our traditional Christmas evening early so we could do a mix of Swedish, Australia, and American traditions on the actual Christmas Day.
The one flaw with this plan is that it was flaming hot the day we planned to do our Christmas: it was in the upper 90's the most of the day and had only cooled down to about 83 when we opened our presents. But that didn't stop us from doing our usual Christmas pasta dinner and campout in the living room with Christmas movies!

If you pretend this is Fahrenheit, it's an appropriate temperature! |

Christmas pasta, wine, and Love Actually |
We also opened our presents! Yay! We must have been good this year because Santa was very good to us. (The pictures are bad because we had the lights low to keep from sweating to death.)

Excited Toby by the tree |

What!? An In n' Out shirt all the way from CA! |
|
Holly's all-time favorite movie. She was appalled during her visit to learn that we didn't own it, so that was rectified at Christmas |
|
A cookbook from Tennessee so we don't forget how to do proper cooking |
|
Another Southern score: GooGoo Clusters! Toby may or may not have had for breakfast the next morning |
|
Trying on 3 presents at once: headband, bracelets, and necklace! I'm a lucky girl. =) |
After presents it was off to bed! We had to be up early the next morning to collect our final present from the airport!
