Much awaited visitors in Sydney!

Three days ago, there was a very exciting flight landing at the Sydney airport. I know because we were there at the airport, waiting behind this fellow with a sign attached to his hat.
We were most excited about these people though!
All checked in to the hotel behind them!
Holly and Scott have been here in Sydney for a few days. Holly and I have focused on fitting in as many activities as humanly possible during that time. Day 1 included checking in at the fun hotel on the wharf and a proper Aussie pie for lunch.

it was a beautiful day, so we headed out for a ferry ride. We caught the ferry up to Watsons Bay, and it was a perfect ride.
It was pretty warm and plenty sunny. So we didn't stay out too long. But we did hike around a little and take in all the best scenery of Watsons Bay. We also encountered the first of what would be thousands of flies. The warm winter or something must have provided the perfect conditions for fly breeding, because they are everywhere and plentiful this spring.

The new arrivals approve of the Harbour entrance

The sights never get old

Then it was back to Potts Point for a dinner to celebrate our day together!
And then it was an early bedtime for the weary travelers!
Goodnight Sydney!
